The last week has been pretty hectic and I haven’t been able to be as crafty as I would have liked. There doesn’t seem to be a slow down this week, but most of the things going on should be fun. I should have a few new collages to show you in the coming days. I just kept pushing the paper around and wasn’t really feeling anything so I took a break, but I am starting to feel anxious to get my hands back into the glue.
Take on recent photo jaunt in Ann Arbor.
Don’t really have anything to say about this one.
There is something about flowers or leaves that hang on after most of their associates have let go that touches me. Maybe it is the Rocky spirit. Either way, these dried Hydrangeas made me happy. I think they are just as beautiful now as when they are full of color.
Another photo from my trip home yesterday.
Here is the same photo but touched up with some different finishes.
I don’t do too much editing of my photos other than tweaking the color every once in awhile. But from time to time I enjoy playing around and seeing what happens.
Yesterday I had the pleasant surprise of being on the front page of Etsy along with a selection of other book related items. (I am a sucker for book art.)
Here are the stats for the 30 or so minutes I was on the fp.
- 860 item views
- 17 item hearts
- 12 new shop hearts
- Average item looked at was 2
- Average time spent in my shop was 38 seconds
Instead of taking the expressway to work each day I take the back roads. It is so much more peaceful and has better scenery. There are several dilapidated buildings that have intrigued me, but I was never able to stop and take photos. Until today. My goal is to get all 4 seasons with this building.
I would love to get a closer look, but I fear that a) something would cave in on me b) I would get arrested for trespassing or c) a serial killer or monster would jump out.
