A year ago I took the leap and rented a space at Yellow Door Art Market. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I rented a table because I figured I could do a lot with it, and believe me I did. I crammed that space full of product! A couple months in I put my name on a list to move up to a bigger space if one came available. Mid October I found out a core space, the biggest space offered, was opening up. Visions of what I could do the with the extra space kept me up nights. This is the final result….. (Pardon the hazy quality of the pictures, not sure what happened with my camera)

The last month or so I have been really busy putting together a wholesale catalog for my magnets. It has been a crazy amount of work, but I managed to get it done. 36 newly formatted magnet images. Woot! Now I just get to work on the remaining 100+ quote magnets. But in between learning the joys of PhotoShop I have been getting ready to upgrade my section at Yellow Door to one of their core sections. So much space to play with! Even with so much going on I have been able to take a few photos.

Finally, I conned someone in to helping me do a website, something that had been on my To Do List for the last 6 years or so. Such a relief to be able to hand it over to Todd and tell him what I wanted. If I hadn’t then the website would still be just an idea. Checkout the final project here at ChicalooKate.

Really excited for my next show at the Ann Arbor Art Center this weekend. Some of my favorite vendors will be there. Hip to Piece Square, Deid Goods, Sloe Gin Fizz, Lilac Pop, Marta England, Courtney Fischer, Green Daffodil. The show is Oct. 8th, 10 AM – 6 PM and Sunday, October 9th, 12 PM – 5 PM. Admission is $1 and it goes to help fund the Center.

Fun While It Lasted

So, my 1 a day challenge lasted longer than any one I have tried in the done. I took more photos than I posted here, but I didn’t upload them. Which led to me wondering what their order was. I ended up feeling guilty that I wasn’t posting photos so I didn’t post at all. Vicious cycle. Here are a few on the photos I didn’t get a chance to list.

Well, I have been pretty good about taking the pictures for my 365 challenge, but not so good about uploading them. And with several big shows coming up I can’t see that changing much. Since my throngs of readers are anxiously awaiting the next photo I will try and do better. Okay, throngs might be a slight exaggeration, but it sounded good.

Normally I don’t do too much in the way of editing my photos. I am usually just to lazy to figure out what I want them to look like. And I know that it is easy to overdo on the editing. Every once in awhile I like to play around on picnik and see what I can come up with.

This was my first stuffed animal. Not sure who gave it to me, but it was a gift given around the time of my birth so I can’t really be expected to remember.

I don’t believe I ever gave him a name. Actually, I don’t think I named any of my stuffed animals. All I do know is that this particular stuffie survived where other childhood toys succumbed to the jaws of puppies and the machinations of a younger brother who liked scissors.
